Chinese scientists have announced that they have managed to create a pill capable of extending human life to 150 years.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Oddity Central, a biotechnology startup from Shenzhen called Lonvi Biosciences, which conducts research in the field of longevity, has developed a drug that targets so-called "zombie cells" - aging cells that stop dividing but continue to cause inflammatory processes. According to the company, the created pill could theoretically significantly increase life expectancy.

Lonvi CEO Ip Zhu called this development the "Holy Grail," emphasizing that the key component of the drug is capable of not only extending life but also reducing the risk of age-related diseases by affecting the body at the cellular level.

Technical Director Liu Qinghua stated that "living to 150 years is quite possible," and suggested that such technologies could become part of our everyday life in the near future.

Lonvi's drug is based on procyanidin C1 (PCC1) - a molecule derived from grape seeds, which has previously demonstrated the ability to increase the lifespan of laboratory mice. According to the company, rodents receiving PCC1 lived on average 9.4% longer, and when therapy was started from the first day of life - 64.2% longer.
