On June 26, presentations of a number of projects took place on the territory of the Seaside National Park.

As reported by AZERTAC, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva and Head of the Baku Media Center Arzu Aliyeva participated in the events.

Opening of the Boulevard Sports Club

First, the opening of the Boulevard Sports Club took place in the Seaside National Park, created after major renovation and reconstruction on the basis of the traditional tennis court complex.

Leyla Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva familiarized themselves with the conditions created at the sports club.

The new sports club was created within the framework of efforts aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle in the Seaside National Park, expanding sports infrastructure, and increasing recreational opportunities. A functional fitness hall equipped with modern equipment, padel tennis courts, and opportunities for dynamic sports activities have been created here.

Presentation of the WasteShark floating water-cleaning device

Then, within the framework of measures implemented to improve the ecological condition and ensure the cleanliness of the Baku Bay water area falling within the territory of the Seaside National Park, a presentation of the innovative WasteShark floating water-cleaning device took place. During the presentation, the technical capabilities of the device were demonstrated to Leyla Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva.

The device is equipped with advanced technological solutions that allow for the prompt collection of floating debris, biomass, and various pollutants in coastal zones, shallow waters, and enclosed water areas against the backdrop of declining water levels in the Caspian Sea in recent years.

The remotely controlled device, equipped with special sensors and cameras and possessing high maneuverability, collects organic waste and pollutants from the water surface. Operating effectively especially in hard-to-reach areas, the WasteShark device is designed to expand capabilities for environmental monitoring and cleaning operations.

At the initial stage, the device is planned to be used for local cleaning operations, and based on the results obtained, it will be implemented across a wider area of Baku Bay and in various formats of use.

It should be noted that the project was implemented on the initiative of Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of the IDEA Public Association, Leyla Aliyeva.

Presentation of electric-powered phaetons

Next, on the territory of the Baku Boulevard, a presentation took place of a new project offering visitors a type of recreation and strolling different from the traditional one — electric-powered phaetons.

First, Leyla Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva were provided with information about the new project. It was noted that these modern vehicles, featuring the distinctive appearance characteristic of the phaeton traditions of the city of Baku, allow for environmentally clean, quiet, and comfortable rides along a special route on the boulevard territory. The use of electric-powered phaetons is one of the steps taken towards promoting the principles of a modern, eco-friendly, and sustainable urban environment. Then, a ride along the boulevard on electric phaetons was organized for the guests.

During the opening ceremonies and presentations, Leyla Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva met with city residents and took photos with them.
