Farman Hasanov commented on his victory at the UFC tournament in Baku
Azerbaijani fighter Farman Hasanov commented on his victory over American Eric Nolan at the UFC tournament being held in Baku.
As reported by Oxu.Az, the athlete noted that he feels great, and the opportunity to have his first fight in Azerbaijan was a source of special pride for him. According to him, the support of the fans gave him additional motivation, and during the bout he was focused exclusively on winning.
F. Hasanov said that he had planned to finish the fight early, but fell ill a week before the tournament, which affected his preparation. Despite this, he managed to win all three rounds.
The fighter emphasized that his opponent was well prepared. At the same time, according to Hasanov, thanks to numerous takedowns he managed to dominate the bout.
The athlete noted that he intends to continue working on his mistakes and improving his performances. He reminded that he signed a four-fight contract with the UFC and expects to win the three remaining bouts.
In addition, Hasanov said that he regularly holds training camps in the USA, but always prefers to return to Azerbaijan, as he misses the national cuisine.
It should be recalled that the main event of the evening at the tournament, being held at the National Gymnastics Arena, will be the lightweight bout between Azerbaijani Rafael Fiziev and Mexican Manuel Torres.
In addition, Azerbaijani Nazim Sadykhov will face Brazilian Mateus Camilo, and Farman Hasanov will fight American Eric Nolan.
