Charlie Kirk's killer may face execution

Suspect in the murder of activist Charlie Kirk, Tyler Robinson, has been charged with first-degree murder. In the state of Utah, the man faces execution by firing squad, announced the head of the US Department of Justice, Attorney General Pam Bondi.
"As the governor said, they will ask for the death penalty, which is very real in Utah. And they still have firing squads in Utah," she said in an interview with Fox News.
According to her, the final charges will be presented on September 16 or a couple of days later. At the same time, the imposition of the death penalty is an extremely realistic scenario in Utah, given the governor's willingness to seek the maximum punishment for the criminal.
In addition, Utah authorities may bring additional charges against Robinson. However, the White House administration intends to work together with the state to ensure the law is enforced to the fullest extent.
