Another country has experienced a strong earthquake

A powerful earthquake with a magnitude of 6.8 occurred in the central part of Colombia. The information was confirmed by "Interfax," citing data from the Altai-Sayan branch of the Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
The natural disaster was recorded on Sunday, June 8, at 17:08 Baku time. The epicenter of the underground tremors was located 73 kilometers northeast of the city of Villavicencio.
Specialists assessed the intensity of the earthquake at the epicenter as "devastating," indicating potentially serious consequences for the region.
Notably, just two days earlier, on June 6, a powerful earthquake with a magnitude of 6.6 was also registered on the coast of Chile. According to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC), the epicenter was located 100 km northwest of the city of Copiapó, which has a population of about 120 thousand people. The earthquake's focus was at a significant depth of 98 km. No information about casualties or destruction as a result of the Chilean earthquake has been reported.
