An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.3 was recorded in the area of the city of Gemlik in the Turkish province of Bursa. The corresponding information was published on July 2 on the website of the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD).
It is specified that the seismic event occurred in the west of the country at approximately 13:58 local time (coincides with Moscow time). According to the organization, the epicenter of the earthquake was located in the Gemlik area, with the focus at a depth of 13 km.
According to the country's Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya, AFAD specialists have already begun inspecting the area.
"At the moment, there are no negative consequences," he wrote on his Telegram social media page.
