American Senator Lindsey Graham has died

In the United States, American Senator Lindsey Graham has died at the age of 71 after a brief illness.

This was reported by his office on social media.

"On Saturday evening, July 11, U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham passed away as a result of a brief and sudden illness. The Graham family appreciates prayers at this time and asks for privacy during this incredibly difficult period," the statement said.

Lindsey Olin Graham was an American Republican politician. He had been the senior U.S. Senator from the state of South Carolina since 2003. Since 2019, he had also served as chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee. Since January 2025, he had held the position of chairman of the U.S. Senate Budget Committee.
