Ali Khamenei did not meet with Air Force command for the first time in 47 years

Today, Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei did not hold the traditional meeting with the Air Force command on the occasion of "19 Bahman" (February 8). This event is regarded as unprecedented in recent decades.

According to the information, the ceremony with the participation of Air Force commanders took place in Tehran at the mausoleum of the Islamic Republic's founder Ruhollah Khomeini, but without Khamenei's presence.

It is noted that over the past 47 years, this is the first time the Iranian leader has not participated in an event dedicated to 19 Bahman together with the Air Force leadership.

On 19 Bahman 1357 (February 8, 1979), the technical personnel of the Shah's army Air Force - "homafars" - met with Khomeini in Tehran and pledged their allegiance to him.
