The underground tremors were recorded on Thursday, September 25, at 7:51 Baku time. Their magnitude reached 6.3 - which seismologists consider a strong earthquake.

The epicenter of the phenomenon was located 29 kilometers northeast of the city of Mene Grande and 71 kilometers northwest of the city of Valera. The focus was at a depth of 10 kilometers. A tsunami threat has not yet been declared. Information about casualties and destruction is not specified.
