The seismic tremors were recorded on Wednesday, November 12, at 13:23 local time in the eastern part of New Guinea island. The epicenter of the earthquake was located 29 kilometers northeast of the city of Goroka, which has a population of about 18.5 thousand people. The focus was at a depth of 110 kilometers.
