A new powerful earthquake occurred in Myanmar

A repeated strong earthquake of magnitude 6.4 occurred in Myanmar.

According to the Chinese seismological administration, it occurred 12 minutes after the first earthquake, which was estimated to have a magnitude of 7.9.

People are being pulled from under the rubble, and search and rescue operations have begun. No casualties or deaths have been reported yet.

According to photos and videos published by social media users, some houses and a bridge have collapsed.

The footage shows that about five spans of the bridge connecting the cities of Sagaing and Mandalay collapsed as a result of the earthquake.

Tremors were also felt in Bangladesh, India, Thailand, Laos, and China.

The epicenter of the underground tremors was located at coordinates 21.85 degrees north latitude and 95.95 degrees east longitude. The hypocenter was at a depth of 30 km.
