The product that everyone considered an enemy of teeth turned out to be their savior

For many years, this product was accused of destroying tooth enamel, but recent studies have shown that it can, on the contrary, protect teeth and strengthen them. We're talking about chocolate, especially dark chocolate.
Scientists have discovered that cocoa beans contain substances that can strengthen enamel and fight harmful bacteria in the oral cavity. In particular, theobromine found in natural chocolate helps mineralize tooth tissue and prevents cavities.
Experts emphasize that the beneficial properties are only present when consuming dark chocolate with high cocoa content (70% and above). However, milk and white chocolate can indeed harm teeth due to their high sugar content.
Thus, a product that was long considered the main enemy of teeth turned out to be their ally - provided it is consumed in moderation and the right type is chosen.
