Cardiologist named three key symptoms of a heart attack, among which was a non-obvious sign more common in women. This was reported by Chris Kelly, head of the cardiology department at UNC Rex Hospital in North Carolina.

Heart attack is a dangerous condition in which the blood supply to the heart is disrupted due to a blood clot blocking a vessel. Classic symptoms include chest pain, shortness of breath, sweating, and dizziness, but there are also less obvious signs.

Warning signals:

pressing pain in the chest that radiates to the shoulders, arms, or jaw;

sudden shortness of breath without physical exertion;

sharp abdominal pain and nausea - this symptom is often ignored,

but it is especially characteristic for women.

If you have risk factors for heart disease, are over 50 years old, and feel sudden abdominal pain with nausea - this could be a sign of a heart attack, Dr. Kelly warned. The expert emphasized that with any of these symptoms, it is necessary to seek help immediately.
