Sweets are not an obstacle: the only blood type that is protected from diabetes

Scientists have identified a blood type whose carriers have the lowest risk of developing diabetes.
As it turns out, people with type I (first) blood (also known as type O) have natural protection against this dangerous disease.
It is the carriers of the first blood type who are less frequently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. Scientists explain this by the peculiarities of metabolism and immune system function in such people. Additionally, they typically have lower levels of insulin resistance - the main precursor to diabetes.
However, doctors remind us: even if you have a "protective" blood type, this is not a reason to overindulge in sweets. Poor nutrition, lack of physical activity, and constant stress can negate any genetic advantages.
Nevertheless, those with the first blood type can worry a little less at the sight of sweets - their bodies generally handle glucose better than those of people with other blood types.
