TV presenter diagnosed with skin cancer during live broadcast

In the USA, a TV host was diagnosed with skin cancer right during a live broadcast with a dermatologist.
As reported by BAKU.WS, the "Daily Mail" publication told about this incident.
The unexpected discovery occurred when Mike Gerrick, the host of the morning program on "Fox News" channel, was talking with an invited expert - dermatologist Joanna Walker. During the conversation about skin cancer prevention, the specialist noticed a small spot on the host's hand and decided to examine it more carefully.
After a brief examination, the doctor informed the host that the discovered formation had "all the signs" of basal cell skin cancer - the most common and slowly developing type of this disease. Despite the fact that the news came as a complete surprise to the host, the doctor immediately reassured him, emphasizing that this is one of the most easily treatable types of cancer, and the tumor had not yet spread to other parts of the body.
Gerrick was stunned by what he heard and asked with surprise how exactly the formation would be removed. Walker explained that surgical intervention would be required.
It is reported that the tumor removal is scheduled for the near future. The host is taking the situation with humor and is confident that he will soon return to normal life.
