Allahshukur Pashazade: I consider meeting with Garegin II beneath my dignity

Chairman of the CMB, Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade stated that he currently has no desire to meet with the Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II, considering it beneath his dignity.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, Pashazade told journalists after the festive prayer at the Tezepir mosque.

"I don't want to meet with Garegin II at the moment. I consider meeting with him beneath my dignity," said Pashazade.

According to him, the Catholicos, in addition to his religious rank, has also donned a political mantle. "A spiritual person should not immerse himself so deeply in politics. Therefore, I have no intention of meeting with him," added the CMB chairman.
