Psychotherapist explained why happiness levels drop after 30 years

The level of happiness after 30 years can significantly decrease under the influence of a whole complex of physiological and social factors. Among them, financial difficulties and health problems are particularly prominent.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to vm.ru, psychotherapist and candidate of medical sciences Irina Krashkina shared these observations.
"On one hand, changes in hormonal background, metabolism, and general health condition can affect mood and well-being. On the other hand, this is a period when a person begins to feel pressure from career and family obligations, financial difficulties, and other life stresses," she explained.
The specialist emphasized that it is at this age that many face the so-called mid-life crisis, which forces them to rethink life goals and achievements. At the same time, the level of happiness directly depends on individual personality traits and the ability to adapt to stressful situations.
"Therefore, it is important to develop emotional resilience and find ways to maintain internal balance," the specialist explained.
According to Krashkina, the key factors for maintaining emotional well-being are a healthy lifestyle, systematic physical activity, and emotional support from loved ones. The expert particularly noted that even with high levels of stress, regular exercise, adequate sleep, and the reliable shoulder of loved ones help maintain emotional stability and significantly increase the overall feeling of happiness.
