Nutritionist named supermarket products that accelerate the development of dementia

About 80-90% of products presented in stores are potentially harmful to human health and may contribute to the development of dementia. This was stated by nutritionist Anton Polyakov in a conversation with aif.ru.
According to him, the main danger comes from products containing fructose, sucrose, trans fats, and a large number of food additives. This category includes almost all sweets - cookies, cakes, pastries, as well as a significant portion of ice cream. Polyakov noted that the hydrogenated trans fats contained in them are incorporated into cell membranes, disrupting their ability to normally interact with signaling molecules.
The nutritionist also drew attention to products rich in Omega-6 and saturated animal fats - their excess, according to him, can overload the body. In addition, artificial additives also cause harm to the body, as they can trigger inflammatory processes, allergic reactions, and vascular damage.
Polyakov added that one of the simplest paths to developing dementia is the regular consumption of industrially produced food, including fast food.
