Pavel Durov harshly commented on the Louvre robbery
Telegram co-founder Pavel Durov linked the Louvre robbery to the general decline of France. He expressed his position on his account in the social network X.
"The robbery at the Louvre didn't surprise me at all. It's another sad indicator of the degradation of a once great country, where authorities have perfected the art of distracting citizens with imaginary threats instead of fighting real ones," Durov noted.
On October 19, unknown masked individuals attacked the Apollo Gallery in the Louvre and stole nine pieces of jewelry. While fleeing the crime scene, the robbers accidentally dropped Empress Eugenie's crown, the wife of Napoleon III, on the street. According to experts, this brazen crime could have been committed by either experienced criminals or inexperienced thieves.
