A member of Iran's Expediency Discernment Council, Mohammad Reza Bahonar, commented on the implementation of the law on mandatory hijab wearing in his country.
This was reported by the Telegram channel "Free Iran".
"From a legal and juridical perspective, the hijab law project is no longer enforceable. In Iran, there is no longer a legal obligation to wear the hijab, and it will not entail any fines, penalties, or legal consequences. And tell the police the same thing!" he stated.
