Provocation against "Karabakh" in Spain: "Athletic" appeals to the police

Football club "Qarabag" faced an unpleasant situation in Spain.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Oxu.Az, on the eve of the third round match of the UEFA Champions League general stage in Bilbao against local "Athletic", provocative inscriptions and symbols directed against the representative of Agdam were discovered in the city.

The head of the press service of FC "Qarabag" Anar Hajiyev, in response to the website's editorial inquiry, stated that the incident was immediately reported to the management of "Athletic" club, who in turn contacted local law enforcement agencies to investigate the incident:

"Football club "Qarabag" believes that sports competitions are built on the principles of peace, friendship and respect, and declares the inadmissibility of any provocations that violate these principles. Our team is focused exclusively on the upcoming match and will continue to worthily represent Azerbaijan in the sports arena."

Note that the match "Athletic" - "Qarabag" will begin on October 22 at 20:45 Baku time.
