Azerbaijani wrestler became world champion

Azerbaijani Greco-Roman wrestler Ziya Babashov became the champion of the U-23 World Championship taking place in Novi Sad, Serbia.
Our representative, competing in the 63 kg weight category, defeated Moldovan Vitaly Eremenko with a score of 6:3 in the decisive bout, winning the gold medal.
It should be noted that another one of our Greco-Roman wrestlers, Elmir Aliyev (55 kg), also advanced to the final. The athlete competing in the 55 kg weight category defeated Iranian Armin Shamsipurhaji on his way to the decisive match, securing at least a silver medal for himself.
