Named an unexpected sign of a heart attack

A heart attack may be indicated by a feeling of mild physical discomfort, slight pressure in the chest, and an urgent need to use the bathroom. This was shared with the Daily Mail by American cardiologist William Wilson, who suffered a heart attack while working out with his wife.
The doctor experienced a heart attack at the age of 63. According to him, it all started with a mild but increasing feeling of discomfort and unpleasant pressure in his chest. The sensations were not sharp or acute, but rather dull and pulling. Wilson emphasized that these symptoms often go unnoticed because they don't match the classic perception of a heart attack.
Another sign the doctor noticed was a sudden and strong urge to use the bathroom. According to the expert, this symptom is rarely mentioned in the context of a heart attack. This condition is associated with a sharp activation of the nervous system, which triggers the need to empty the bowels or bladder.
Additionally, the cardiologist noted profuse sweating that occurred despite the calm pace of the workout, as well as a feeling of doom that came over him, similar to a panic attack.
Wilson admitted that despite his knowledge and professional experience, he didn't immediately call an ambulance because he didn't want to believe what was happening. Only after several minutes did he tell his wife about his symptoms, and she immediately arranged for him to be taken to the hospital. The doctor reminded that with a heart attack, the speed of response often determines the outcome.
