Alarming statement from scientists for humanity regarding Earth's axis

A new study has revealed a connection between the sharp shift of the Earth's axis, which began in the early 2000s, and the large-scale loss of moisture from the soil. Scientists led by Professor Ki Weon Seo from Seoul National University used data from satellite radar observations and soil moisture models to recreate the dynamics of changes in water reserves on Earth. The results showed that just during the period from 2000 to 2002, the planet lost more than one thousand six hundred gigatons of water from the soil - this exceeds the mass of ice lost by Greenland over a significantly longer period of time.

Such moisture loss is equivalent to an increase in the World Ocean level by almost two millimeters per year. In the period from 2003 to 2016, the soil lost another one thousand gigatons of water, and by 2021 the moisture level had not recovered, indicating long-term changes in water reserves on land. Independent indicators, such as the continuing rise in sea level and the measurable displacement of the Earth's rotation pole, confirm these data.

Experts express concern that the trend toward soil desiccation may be irreversible, which entails serious consequences for the climate and ecosystems of the planet.
