Azerbaijani clubs in European cups: what do sports experts say about the teams' chances?

A new episode of the podcast İdmanda nə baş verir? ("What's happening in sports?") was released on Baku TV.

Sports journalist Mirbaghiraga Jafarli was the guest of the podcast.

The program discussed the return matches of the second qualifying round of European cups featuring Azerbaijani clubs.

Mirbaghiraga Jafarli commented on the match "Sabah" - "Petrocub".

"I didn't expect the 'owls' to easily defeat 'Petrocub'. I thought the Moldovan team would put serious pressure. After the match, we witnessed that the Baku club is superior to 'Petrocub'. The 'Sabah' players are very high quality," he noted.

The sports journalist also talked about "Qarabag's" struggle in the UEFA Champions League.

"There are high expectations from 'Qarabag'. First of all, the team needs to acquire a striker. The Agdam club showed its quality and experience in the match against 'Shelbourne' in Ireland. The 'Horsemen' returned from the away game with a 3-0 victory. I think that in the next round in the match against 'Shkendija', 'Qarabag' will defeat this team. Because the Agdam club no longer feels teams of this type," added M.Jafarli.
