Azerbaijani serviceman Nasimi Musayev, detained on the territory of Sheki village (Zangezur), had no intent to kill anyone.

As reported by BAKU.WS citing Armenian media, this was stated in a conversation with journalists at the National Assembly by the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Armenia, Artur Poghosyan, answering a question about the Azerbaijani serviceman who crossed the Azerbaijani-Armenian border.

"He was interrogated, gave testimony, I cannot disclose the content of the interrogation. The day after tomorrow, a closed meeting will be held at the National Assembly regarding this case. Currently, in order to preserve the secrecy of the preliminary investigation, I cannot disclose the content of the testimony. But he indicated the location, the circumstances of the incident, the terrain — he indicated everything.

I have no task whatsoever to defend him. We must evaluate the facts: a person who got lost and is walking on foot sees a house, breaks the glass, he is hungry, enters, cooks food, changes clothes. Children come in, he takes their phones, keeps them sitting for hours, does not harm them," Poghosyan stated.

At the same time, the head of the Investigative Committee listed the offenses attributed to the young man, noting that he has been charged under several articles.

"I will say what these articles are — infliction of grievous bodily harm in a manner dangerous to the lives of many people, unlawful deprivation of liberty, violation of the inviolability of a home, he also stole cards and money, and illegal border crossing," the head of Armenia's Investigative Committee concluded.

As a reminder, on October 1 at 14:15 local time (which coincides with Baku time — ed.), Azerbaijani soldier Nasimi Musayev was detained by Armenia's security agencies.

The serviceman, who crossed the border under unknown circumstances in the area toward Sheki village (Zangezur), was arrested for 2 months.
