As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, this was stated by Azerbaijani boxer Safdar Mamedzade, who won a gold medal at the competitions held within the framework of the III CIS Games at the Yevlakh Sports Complex.

"I had previously become a European champion, and today I managed to win gold at the III CIS Games as well. I am very happy with this victory. My teammates and I showed tremendous perseverance. This tournament has been an important milestone and valuable experience for me. I am confident that new victories await me in the future," said the athlete.

It should be noted that Safdar Mamedzade won the gold medal in the under 80 kg weight category.
