Azerbaijani youth ceremoniously celebrates their holiday on February 2.

This significant historical date is connected with national leader Heydar Aliyev, who always paid great attention to youth, showed care for them, and gave special importance to measures aimed at solving their problems, considering this policy as one of the most important directions of independent Azerbaijan. According to the decree signed by Heydar Aliyev on February 1, 1997, February 2 was declared Azerbaijan Youth Day. Since then, this date became the first to be ceremoniously celebrated among CIS and Eastern European countries. Furthermore, the national leader took another step that became an example for the whole world - ensuring the formation of necessary legislative framework. This includes decrees, orders, and state programs aimed at solving social, economic, and other youth problems, contributing to the development of their abilities. These documents positively influenced the formation of the young generation as an organized force, their spiritual and ideological development, solving social problems, and ensuring effective employment. Through his decisions, President Ilham Aliyev confirms his dedication to the youth policy of the great leader. The result of high attention to this sphere is the spiritual development of youth, their patriotic education, studying abroad, work aimed at solving problems of those needing social protection, and conditions created for the formation and development of youth organizations. The head of state expressed his attitude towards the young generation as follows: "Azerbaijani youth is active, patriotic, educated, and literate. Youth, I believe in you, I rely on you."
