The Silent Threat in the Glove Compartment: Why Drivers Don't Use Car First Aid Kits

Every driver is required to have a first aid kit in their car, however, most car owners admit that they never use it. The question arises: are these medications really capable of saving lives in critical situations or, conversely, can they pose a danger?

Road transport expert Arzu Babazade emphasizes that the storage conditions for medications in a car do not meet the necessary requirements. This is precisely why international practice prohibits the storage of tablets, capsules, and liquid dosage forms in car first aid kits.

A representative of the Main Traffic Police Department told Xəzər Xəbər TV channel that according to the relevant decree of the Cabinet of Ministers, medications should be stored in conditions that protect them from environmental influences.

Medical professionals, in turn, note that the storage conditions for each medication are indicated on its packaging. If these requirements are not met, the medication is considered unsuitable for use and may pose a health hazard.
