Iranian dry cargo ship Rona with 14 crew members on board suffered disaster in the Caspian Sea.
As Report informs, this was announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
According to the information, an SOS signal from the ship was received by the coastal services of Turkmenistan.
"The state authorities of Turkmenistan, whose activities are related to the elimination and prevention of emergency situations, in accordance with international standards regulating the rules of navigation, took all necessary measures to rescue people," the statement says.
According to the ministry, all 14 people on board the vessel were successfully evacuated. According to preliminary information, they are citizens of Iran and India.
"Currently, the Turkmen side is carrying out the appropriate procedures provided for by international rules," the Foreign Ministry noted.
