Turkey in the grip of winter elements: 41 regions receive "yellow" warning
The Main Meteorological Department of Turkey has published a daily weather forecast.
As reported by BAKU.WS, according to the information, a "yellow" code warning has been issued in 41 provinces of Turkey due to snow, strong winds, and heavy rains.
According to the forecast, the weather across the country will be predominantly cloudy. Precipitation is expected in all regions, except for the coast of the North Aegean Sea, Çanakkale, Van, and Iğdır. It is reported that coastal territories will experience rain and showers, while in inland and mountainous regions there will be sleet and snowfall.
In some regions - especially in the Eastern Mediterranean, eastern part of Antalya, western districts of Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia, as well as in Samsun, Ordu, Tokat, Trabzon and surrounding areas - precipitation will be locally intense.
During night and morning hours in the Marmara Sea regions, inland and eastern areas, icing and freezing temperatures are expected. In highlands and slope territories of the Eastern Black Sea region and Eastern Anatolia, there is a risk of avalanches.
It is reported that the wind will blow from the north-northeast on the coasts of the Marmara and Northern Aegean seas, and in Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia - from the south, occasionally intensifying to storm levels.
Authorities urge citizens to exercise caution due to possible transportation difficulties, floods, inundations, roof collapses, falling trees, and poisoning risks.
