SGB Operation: Son of the leader of the assassination attempt on Fazil Mustafa arrested

Abulfaz Serijanov, son of Azer Serijanov who was sentenced to life imprisonment for the attempted assassination of Milli Mejlis deputy Fazil Mustafa, has been arrested.

As gununsesi.info reports, the individual was arrested by the State Security Service (SSS). A. Serijanov has been charged under Article 28.277 (preparation of an attempt on the life of a state or public figure) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan. By decision of the Sabail District Court, a preventive measure in the form of arrest for a period of 4 months has been chosen against him.

Attorney Bakhtiyar Hajiyev also confirmed that a decision to arrest A. Serijanov has been issued and he has been charged under Article 28.277 of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.

This article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
