Scientists reported a global increase in solar activity
On the Sun, since midday on July 11, there has been a rapid increase in the number and area of active centers, including on the far side not visible from Earth. This was reported on the website of the Solar Astronomy Laboratory of the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
The publication states that the Solar Orbiter spacecraft is currently observing the activity on the Sun.
"From July 11 to 12, 17 flares occurred on the Sun, which corresponds to an increase in flare activity by approximately 3 times compared to the average values for July," the message says.
According to the Russian Academy of Sciences, the change in solar activity is global in nature.
