New features coming to WhatsApp

WhatsApp developers have announced the introduction of chat themes, which will allow users to personalize their conversations using different colors for message "bubbles" and custom backgrounds. At launch, 30 wallpaper options will be available in the messenger's settings.

The new options will allow users to choose from preset themes that simultaneously change the colors of message "bubbles" and background. Additionally, users will be able to combine dialog component colors to create unique combinations.

Users will be able to apply a unified style to all their chats and channels, as well as customize themes for specific chats separately. The applied settings will only be visible to the user who set them and won't affect other chat participants.

To set a default theme for all chats, users need to go to "Settings" -> "Chats" -> "Default Chat Theme". To customize an individual chat, simply tap on the contact name at the top of the dialog.

The new features have already appeared in WhatsApp clients for some users. The full release of the update will take place in the coming weeks.
