Australia has begun the largest international military exercise in the country's history, Talisman Sabre 2025, involving more than 35,000 military personnel from 19 countries. This was reported by RIA Novosti, citing the Australian Ministry of Defense.

The head of joint operations, Vice Admiral Justin Jones, specified that the maneuvers will take place at sea, on land, in the air, space, and cyberspace.

Talisman Saber is an annual international exercise conducted by Australia and the United States. It takes place every two years and includes joint actions of the military forces of both countries. In 2025, the exercise began on July 13 with a ceremonial ceremony aboard the aircraft carrier "Adelaide".

Military personnel from the USA, Canada, Fiji, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Japan, the Netherlands, New Zealand, the Philippines, Norway, Papua New Guinea, South Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Tonga, and the United Kingdom will participate in Talisman Sabre 2025.

According to the Ministry of Defense, over three weeks, military personnel from Australia and partner countries will conduct exercises in the states of Queensland, New South Wales, Western Australia, the Northern Territory, and Christmas Island. The exercises will include combat firing, field training, troop preparation, amphibious landings, ground forces maneuvers, air combat, and naval operations.
