In Azerbaijan, a mother of four children died after giving birth in a car

26-year-old resident of Soyugbulag village in Jalilabad district, Nahida Abbasova, died 12 days after giving birth, leaving behind 4 children.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Bizim.Media, on March 8, the woman went to Jalilabad Central District Hospital (CDH) for examination during pregnancy. However, she was advised to return home and come back in a week.
On her way back, she went into labor, and the baby was born right in the car. After that, the woman was urgently taken to the hospital.
According to relatives, upon admission to the CDH, she was in satisfactory condition. However, by evening her condition sharply deteriorated, and she fell into a coma. For 12 days she was in intensive care, but despite the doctors' efforts, on March 20 at 17:30, brain death was recorded.
The intensive care doctor Yusif Khankishiev noted that upon admission, the patient's consciousness was clear, but during the day her condition rapidly deteriorated. According to a statement from the Medical Territorial Units Management Association (TƏBİB), examination of the birth canal revealed two encapsulated cysts in the woman.
N.Abbasova was buried in the cemetery of her native village. Her newborn child is now under the care of grandparents.
An investigation into this case is ongoing.
