In Azerbaijan, a 51-year-old man was convicted of indecent acts against his 15-year-old daughter
In Sheki, a man stood trial for lewd acts against his 15-year-old daughter.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to musavat.com, A.Garaev (name and surname are conditional, born in 1974), while intoxicated, repeatedly committed indecent acts against his daughter who was under 16 years old. His wife, upon learning about the latest incident, reported it to the police.
During questioning, A.Garaev stated that he has mental health issues and cannot control some of his actions.
The victim, while testifying, said that her father committed sexual acts against her while intoxicated. She wished for him to receive the punishment prescribed by law. The girl's mother also demanded that A.Garaev be punished.
The court sentenced A.Garaev, found guilty under Article 153.4.1 (lewd acts against a person under sixteen years of age, committed repeatedly) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, to seven years of imprisonment.
