AZAL transported 865 thousand passengers in the first quarter

In January-March of the current year, CJSC "Azerbaijan Airlines" (AZAL) transported 865,000 passengers.
According to AZAL's press service, in the first quarter of last year this figure was 811,000 people, which indicates a 7% increase in passenger traffic.
During the three months characterized by high passenger traffic, the airline provided uninterrupted and comfortable transportation at a high level.
In the first three months of the year, 3,718 flights were operated to 48 destinations, with a punctuality rate of 89%. Compared to the first quarter of 2024, punctuality improved by 1%, and the number of flights increased by 4%. It should be noted that in March 2025, this indicator reached 93%.
The peak of passenger traffic was recorded on January 12, 2025, when 12,350 people used the airline's services. In the same period last year, the highest passenger traffic occurred on January 7 and amounted to 11,200 people.
It is noted that AZAL continues to actively develop its route network, improve service quality and ensure the highest standards of safety and comfort for its passengers.
