Mohammed Ben Sulayem: The Azerbaijan Grand Prix of Formula 1 presented an exciting race

The Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix provided spectators with the opportunity to watch an exciting race.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, this was stated by the President of the International Automobile Federation (FIA) Mohammed Ben Sulayem.

He spoke about the unique atmosphere and distinctive features of the Baku City Circuit:

"We really love coming to Baku. The Baku City Circuit is a unique track, and it is truly magnificent. Here, historical heritage and modern architecture complement each other. This circuit not only presents drivers with various challenging tests but also provides spectators with the opportunity to watch an exciting race."

According to the FIA head, today motorsport is not just about drivers competing on the track: "Sport is no longer, as it used to be, merely a rivalry between drivers. It encompasses big business, tourism, competition, and entertainment. Azerbaijan brings all of this together. I congratulate Baku on the successful hosting of the event."

Sulayem, also touching on the future cooperation between Azerbaijan and Formula 1, positively assessed the country's long-term approach in this direction: "I see that there are plans here designed for the future. This is important not only for the sport but also for the country. That is why we provide full support."

As a reminder, the day before, Mercedes driver George Russell won the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
