Today, the final hearing in the case of Zia Huseynzade, accused of fraud, was held at the Baku Court for Serious Crimes under the chairmanship of Judge Azad Majidov.

As APA reports, during the hearing, the defendant's lawyer requested an acquittal for his client. However, the court found Huseynzade guilty and sentenced him to 8 years and 6 months of imprisonment, as well as prohibited him from holding certain positions for a period of 2 years and 6 months.

The investigation established that the founder of PKF Audit Azerbaijan LLC and PKF Audit Consulting, Zia Huseynzade, was involved in fraud and forgery of official documents. In 2022-2023, acting jointly with the heads of other companies, he illegally obtained large sums through loans issued by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development for the development of facilities belonging to them.

Additionally, in 2022, Huseynzade, using forged official documents, illegally withdrew a significant amount from the company's deposit account, presenting it as business expenses. He did this without the consent of the company's director.

It is also known that Zia Huseynzade is accused in another criminal case - the beating of model Raziyat (Razi) Aliyeva. The trial in this case continues.
