ICTA: Internet speed in Azerbaijan is quite high

Internet speed in Azerbaijan is quite high.

As BAKU.WS reports with reference to Report, this was stated to journalists by the Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Information and Communication Technologies Agency (ICTA) Jeyhun Huseynzade.

According to him, over the past 3 years, internet speed across the republic has increased threefold.

"Compared to previous periods, there has been significant progress in internet quality. Within the framework of the 'Online Azerbaijan' project, the use of GPON technologies in the country has reached 100%. GPON technology has the ability to provide higher internet speeds compared to earlier technologies. Therefore, I disagree with the statement that internet speed in Azerbaijan is low," he noted.
