The Russian public movement "Veterans of Russia" has initiated a proposal to ban concert activities of People's Artist of Russia Philip Kirkorov. According to the movement's leader Ildar Rezyapov, the singer must perform in Donbass if he wants to continue concerts in Russia. The activists sent an appeal to the cultural community and state authorities, stating that Kirkorov's participation in a New York wedding, where guests with anti-Russian views were present, raises questions. "We call for the suspension of Philip Kirkorov's concert activities in Russia until he proves his loyalty to the country and supports those who defend its interests," says the statement published by NEWS.ru. Additionally, the activists noted that at the New York wedding, Kirkorov performed alongside Kristina Orbakaite - Alla Pugacheva's daughter, who left the country. The appeal also mentions his participation in controversial performances, defense of Maxim Galkin (designated as a foreign agent in Russia), and avoidance of a clear position on the Ukrainian conflict. "Until Kirkorov gives concerts in Donetsk, Luhansk, Mariupol, and Melitopol, visits hospitals, and provides real assistance to wounded soldiers, his performances in Russia should be banned," stated the movement's representatives. Earlier, media reported that Kirkorov and Orbakaite sang at a Jewish wedding in New York, organized at the prestigious venue Da Mikele Illagio. The Telegram channel SHOT also noted the presence of activist Alena Galushko, known for her support of Ukraine, at the event.
