Bilal Aliev: I have performed Hajj 10 times, but I believe that schoolchildren should wear a uniform dress code

Discussions around uniform requirements for school uniforms continue. After the decision was adopted, various speculations emerged, which in some cases led to tensions near schools, student absences, and damage to educational institution property.

As reported by BAKU.WS, People's Artist of Azerbaijan Bilal Aliyev shared his opinion on this issue with Oxu.Az.

He noted that all schoolchildren should wear the same uniform.

"Schoolchildren should stand out from others thanks to a uniform dress code. Those who, under the pretext of the hijab issue, damage state property are acting wrongly. The state will handle all the external forces that want to sow discord in our country without any difficulty. Moreover, Allah will give them what they deserve," Bilal Aliyev stated.

In his address, the artist also called on the citizens of Azerbaijan to be vigilant.

"I want to say to our citizens: be vigilant. We have a very wise President who was trained in the school of the great national leader of the Azerbaijani people. There is no need to trust other forces. A person from a foreign country thinks only about themselves, not about us. I call on our people for unity. Nobody is saying that we should distance ourselves from religion — our religion is dear to us. I have made the pilgrimage to Mecca 10 times, but I believe that all schoolchildren should attend school in the same uniform," he said.

As a reminder, on September 21, the Cabinet of Ministers issued a resolution introducing changes to the school uniform rules for students of state general education institutions. According to the new requirements, schoolchildren are prohibited from wearing clothing and clothing elements that differ from the established uniform, as well as clothing that does not conform to the principle of secular education.

In addition, a resolution by the same body dated October 6 approved the "Dress Code Requirements for Teaching Staff of State General Education Institutions." This document also established clothing standards for teachers.
