Shavkat Mirziyoyev will arrive in Azerbaijan tomorrow

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will visit Azerbaijan on October 14-15 on a working visit to participate in the seventh summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) in Baku.

This was reported by BAKU.WS with reference to the press service of the President of Uzbekistan.

According to the information, the agenda of the forum, held under the chairmanship of Azerbaijan, includes pressing issues of strengthening confidence, ensuring peace and security on the Asian continent, as well as the further institutional development of CICA.

"Prospects for practical cooperation in the areas of transport connectivity, digitalization, sustainable economic growth, and other priority areas will be considered," the statement said.

It is noted that participants will also exchange views on key issues of the regional and international agenda.

Following the summit, the adoption of the Baku Declaration and a package of decisions aimed at enhancing the role and effectiveness of CICA is planned.

On the sidelines of the summit, Shavkat Mirziyoyev will hold a number of bilateral meetings with heads of foreign delegations.
