Elon Musk has once again lost his trillionaire status
American entrepreneur Elon Musk has once again lost his trillionaire status following a decline in SpaceX and Tesla share prices. His net worth dropped to $977.2 billion.
As reported by Forbes, on October 13 the businessman's wealth decreased by $28.6 billion, or approximately 2.8%.
The main reason was a drop in SpaceX shares of more than 3% after the market opened. Tesla shares also fell by approximately 0.5%.
Musk had regained his trillionaire status just four days earlier thanks to rising share prices of both companies.
His net worth first exceeded $1 trillion after SpaceX went public in June 2026.
According to Forbes estimates, the entrepreneur owns approximately 48.4% of SpaceX shares and 11% of Tesla.
The decline in SpaceX share prices occurred amid a sell-off of stocks of artificial intelligence chip manufacturers.
