People's Artist: Those who, under the guise of religion, drag Azerbaijan into obscurantism should be sent to Iran

While in Iran everyone is removing hijabs and women are raising protests against wearing this garment, in Azerbaijan attacks are being carried out on schools for the sake of wearing the hijab.

This was stated to Oxu.Az by People's Artist of Azerbaijan, father of a martyr, Ali Nur.

According to him, it is unclear why children in schools and kindergartens, who have not yet even fully become aware of themselves, should be dressed in hijabs:

"What does a kindergarten child or a first-grader know about what a hijab is, what Karbala is, who Fatima and Hussein are? They have been thoroughly instructed, classes have been conducted with them. Look how far things have gone: a teacher with a covered head, right in the classroom, forces students to perform the 'March of Khomeini' and songs about Khomeini. Do you know what this is? This is a direct crime. The state must be protected from external forces.

I know the history of the Islamic religion, I know by heart everything written about the Prophet Muhammad. Who are they to attack schools and set cars on fire in the streets? Who gave them such courage? Look how poisoned they are, how they have been instructed and incited to create such disturbances in Azerbaijan.

Just as Armenians 'poison' their children from birth, instilling in them that Turks are their enemies, these people are similarly poisoning our little children. They are already conducting ideological indoctrination of children in kindergartens and secondary schools, propagating Sasanian and Persian ideology in Azerbaijan, and want to create a 'Karime state' in the country. This must be put to an end immediately."

The People's Artist stated that at a time when the President is presenting Azerbaijan to the entire world as a victorious state, supporters of Iran are trying to sow discord in the country through such actions:

"The President has presented Azerbaijan to the world as a developed state, stability is maintained in the country. Azerbaijan has become one of the safest and most secure states in the world. In such a situation, certain forces are trying to cast a shadow on this policy and create provocations in the country.

There have never been provocations in Azerbaijan, and the stability in the country is discussed worldwide. However, these 'mullah-heads' are trying to destabilize Azerbaijan. They should know that the people are closely united around the head of our state, stability in the country is fully maintained, and the crime situation is under control.

These people will not be able to influence this policy and the country's development in the slightest. Schoolchildren in Azerbaijan should receive secular education, develop, and become worthy citizens of the country. For development, science, a broad outlook, and secular education are needed. Development based on ignorance is impossible."

The father of the martyr added that those who try to create provocations in schools must be subjected to the harshest punishment:

"Those who, under the cover of religion, drag Azerbaijan into superstition and obscurantism cannot be forgiven. They must be brought to criminal responsibility en masse. This is a betrayal of the state, the gravest crime. They should either be put in a single railway car and sent to Iran, or subjected to the harshest punishment. There is no other way."
