The international restaurant chain Subway has announced its entry into the Azerbaijani market.

According to information published on the company's official website, a corresponding master franchise agreement has been signed with N Sky Build LLC.

Under the terms of the agreement, N Sky Build receives exclusive rights to develop and manage the Subway network within the country.

Azerbaijan becomes a new point of presence for the brand in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.

In a comment to the media, N Sky Build Chairman Nuri Garagöz called the signing of the agreement a long-term project.

"Subway's entry into the Azerbaijani market is an important milestone for our company. It is about creating new jobs, introducing modern management standards, and developing the food service segment in the country. We view this project as a contribution to the development of the non-oil sector of the economy and plan a phased expansion of the network," Nuri Garagöz stated.

Subway is one of the largest international restaurant chains specializing in sandwiches, with a presence in more than 37,000 locations worldwide. In recent years, the company has been actively signing master franchise agreements in EMEA region countries.

Subway's entry into the Azerbaijani market intensifies competition in the quick service segment and indicates growing interest from international brands in the country.
