The US is tightening the ring around Iran
Data from the aviation resource Military Air Tracking Alliance shows that the United States has transferred another squadron of fifth-generation F-35A Lightning II stealth fighters and a squadron of F-15E Strike Eagle fighters to the United Kingdom for subsequent deployment to the Middle East.
This is stated in the latest episode of the Caliber.Az YouTube channel.
"Previously, according to Israeli media, the first squadron of fifth-generation F-22 Raptor stealth fighters, consisting of 11 aircraft, arrived in Israel. As the news portal JFeed notes, this is the first known deployment of American combat aircraft on Israeli territory.
In June of last year, F-22 Raptor fighters were used to provide combat escort for American B-2A Spirit strategic stealth bombers striking Iranian nuclear facilities.
As of February 2026, the United States has significantly increased its military presence in the Middle East, utilizing a network of more than 19 military facilities. The main activity is observed at several major air bases, which serve as hubs for stationing more than 300 combat aircraft transferred to the region earlier this year," the report states.
