The procedure for filing complaints about human rights violations has been changed in Azerbaijan.

As AZERTAJ reports, President Ilham Aliyev approved corresponding amendments to the Constitutional Law "On the Human Rights Commissioner (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan".

According to the introduced changes, complaints addressed by temporarily accommodated persons in the relevant Executive authority body will be forwarded to the Human Rights Commissioner within 24 hours without censorship.

The relevant document, signed by the head of state, establishes that the powers of the relevant Executive authority body will be exercised by the State Migration Service.
