The President addressed the participants of the 5th meeting of the security council secretaries of the OTS member states

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev addressed a message to the participants of the 5th meeting of the secretaries of security councils of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).

As reported by BAKU.WS, the message states:

"Dear participants of the event!

I cordially welcome you to the 5th meeting of the secretaries of security councils of the OTS member states in the city of Baku. Welcome to Azerbaijan! It is gratifying that for the first time this prestigious event is being organized in Azerbaijan.

Common ethnic roots, language, culture and traditions unite our fraternal peoples into a strong family. The Organization of Turkic States, which formalizes our natural alliance, is a vivid example of the unity and fruitful interaction of our friendly and fraternal countries, located across a vast geographical space and possessing significant political and economic potential.

Today the Turkic world has entered a stage of its ascent. The conditions of peace, tranquility and stability prevailing in our countries, and the successfully ongoing development processes are great achievements of our peoples and states.

The victory in Karabakh, achieved by Azerbaijan six years ago and which became a source of our common pride, laid the foundation for a new geopolitical reality in the region. At the same time, this Victory created the groundwork for the realization of the Zangezur corridor — a historic route connecting our countries in economic, logistical and strategic terms. Taking this opportunity, I would like to express gratitude to the countries you represent for their support in the reconstruction and restoration of our territories liberated from occupation. These initiatives are received by the Azerbaijani people with deep respect and appreciation.

Our unbreakable friendship and brotherhood are among the main factors driving the growing international authority and potential of the OTS, which is today our united family, as well as its transformation into one of the strong geopolitical centers of the world.

Within the framework of its chairmanship of the Organization of Turkic States, Azerbaijan is making every effort to further strengthen the unity and solidarity among our countries, realize the broad potential of our interaction and contribute to the sustainable development, peace and security of our region as a whole.
